The haze from an inversion obscures the eastern Redlands and the Uncompahgre Plateau in this view from Independent Avenue. The Mesa County Halth Department has issued an Air Watch Alert banning all agricultural burning and woodstove burning with the sole exception of Environmental Protection Agency-approved woodstoves until further notice.
