A 28-year-old man accused of stealing his girlfriend's checkbook and using it to pay for gifts for his other girlfriend and other items has been charged with more than a dozen felony counts of forgery and identity theft. Henry E. Dunagan, of Montrose, was arrested by Mesa County sheriff's deputies Monday afternoon after his girlfriend of one month said he had stolen her checkbook refill from her bedroom and was writing checks in Mesa and Montrose counties, according to an arrest affidavit.
