According to Grand Junction Fire Department Battalion Chief John Williams The Mesa County Sheriff's Office and the GJFD responded to a river rescue around 9:00 p.m. Thursday night at the 29 Road Bridge over the Colorado River. Three inflatable rafts that were carrying four people got stuck behind the 29 Road Bridge pillars and capsized.
