Grand Junction police officers and Mesa County Sheriff's deputies investigate the circumstances that caused a fight over a dog between four people in the area of the Fifth Street bridge Tuesday evening. A woman and man are in custody after a fight over a dog late Tuesday afternoon on the Fifth Street bridge escalated to include an ax, a board, and a father trying to protect his young son, Grand Junction police said.
