Mesa County sheriff's investigators believe the presence of "a very large" marijuana growing operation is the motive behind the shooting death of a 51-year-old Palisade man. Paul Davis was found dead with a gunshot wound to his chest Sunday night at his home in the 3600 block of G 7/10 Road, according to authorities.
