A Mesa County jury on Thursday convicted a 25-year-old Fountain man of several charges related to a 2013 armed robbery at Burger King on North Avenue. Deone Tyrone Patterson, who was 22 when he was arrested in 2013, was convicted of counts of aggravated robbery, menacing, kidnapping and theft after being accused of donning a mask, brandishing a handgun, demanding cash, and herding store employees into a freezer March 5 in 2013.
