Connie Blaine, volunteer with Grand Valley Pets Alive, will conduct a project demonstration of the group's distributed shelters for outdoor or community cats in the valley at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at 164 N Plum St. in Fruita. The demonstration will feature the construction of a shelter for outdoor cats, and a discussion of the work of Grand Valley Pets Alive in providing spay and neuter funding to county residents to help reduce the number of homeless or unwanted cats and dogs in Mesa County.
