Nearly 100 articles of women's clothing from four residential burglaries in downtown Grand Junction have been connected to the same suspect, authorities say in an arrest affidavit. Jerry Madrid, 49, a parolee with a lengthy record who was arrested Dec. 17 at his former home at 729 Chipeta Ave., is being held at the Mesa County Jail on $11,000 cash bond after being advised Friday on fresh charges stemming from a rash of downtown crimes spanning Oct. 11 through Dec. 17. Madrid currently has a parole hold, which prevents him from posting any bond.
