A day spent with local firefighters reveals a lot I recently took an 11-hour ride along with the Grand Junction Fire Department. During that time "my" fire house did several senior citizen fall calls, a cut finger with fatal infection complications, a suicide standby, a couple of potential heart attacks and a structure fire call.
