Susana Wittrock, director for advocacy at Mesa County Valley School District 51, is the recipient of the Western Colorado Latino Chamber of Commerce's 2015 Rich Lopez Hispanic Advancement Award. The chamber presents the annual award to honor an individual who has advanced the Hispanic culture through volunteering, promoting employment opportunities, increasing cultural awareness, cultivating educational opportunities, and promoting economic development for the Hispanic community on the Western Slope.
