Juniors at Fruita Monument High School, Palisade High School and Mesa Valley Community School exceeded the state's average ACT composite score, which was 20.1 this year, according to Mesa County School District 51. Juniors at Mesa Valley Community School produced the district's highest average composite ACT score of 22.2, the district reported. Palisade High School students came in at an average 21.1 and Fruita Monument High School students came in at 20.2. Juniors at Grand Junction High School were on pace with the state's average, earning an average ACT composite score of 20, the district reported.
