Counties to receive lower payments

Mesa, Garfield and Montrose counties will receive the most in federal PILT payments in the state again this year, U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., announced Thursday. But the three counties will each receive about $200,000 less than they did last year, according to actual payouts listed by the U.S. Department of Interior.
