Barely a month since he was booked at the Mesa County Jail, the Mesa County District Attorney's Office has offered a plea agreement to resolve the first-degree murder case against accused Fruita killer Steven Spiess. Steve Colvin, Spiess' public defender, told District Judge Valerie Robison on Thursday that a plea offer in the case is on the table, but didn't reveal terms of the proposed deal.
