Winter seems to be the time that colds and the flu are prevalent, and while some say that it's the cold temperatures that can cause you to catch a bug, that is actually a common myth. "The reason that cold weather tends to promote the transmission of viruses from one person to another is just because we are all inside and are a lot more exposed to one another," said April Gogans, a doctor at the Mesa County Health Department.
